Programs
​​Wild Yeast Fermentation at Wild Arts Learning Center
In this 3-hour class, learn the basics of making bacteria-rich, gut-enhancing fermented foods at home, like lazy wines, herb sodas, and salt-brine lacto-fermentations like kimchi. After a short presentation and walkabout to gather extra greens, students will go home with a jar of their own wild yeast-infused goodies to ferment.

Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin
I've been invited to teach at this legendary wild food event! Join me and nationally known foraging authors, writers, chefs, and instructors like Sam Thayer, Alan Bergo, (The Forager Chef) Alexis Nelson, (The Black Forager on TikTok) Linda & Luke Black Elk, Chris Gavin, Gabrielle Cerberville, Ellen Zachos, and others. Tickets will be on sale soon, check the site often because they sell out quickly!

​27th annual Bois d’ Arc Ancestral Skills Camp & Knap-In at Hulston Mill. 50+flintknappers and various artists/craftspeople from a 10-state ares demonstrate and sell their work in the free public area. A pool of instructors offers hands-on classes in the workshop area with paid pre-registration.

WOW Outdoor School at Roaring River State Park
I'll be teaching 4-hour block classes Saturday and Sunday on foraging, friction fire, stone tools & cordage, and birding by ear. Check out their class catalogue at the link and sign up early, as classes often fill up.

Wild Herbal Field Trip and Medicinal Plant Symposium at the Ozark Folk Center
This fantastic event features a great lineup of herbalists and educators teaching about plant uses. Pick Friday or Sunday for the field trip into a nearby wilderness area for plant study, and the Saturday Herbal Symposium occurs on the OFC campus. Click the link above for registration.
